Today, the rainy season has set in.
The gentle rain was falling during day and night.
There were many butterburs and Japanese gingers under the persimmon.
They grew very quickly in the rain.
We eat stems of butterburs and buds of Japanese gingers.
Perhaps almost adult can eat them, but almost children can't eat them.
Because they taste a peculiar flavor.
So when I was a child, I couldn't eat it too.
Now I love them, and I'm looking forward to eat it.
My mother is looking forward it, too. (*^。^*)

今日、四国地方は梅雨入りしました。
一日中、雨がしとしと降っていました。
雨が続いたせいか、柿の木の根本が見えないくらいフキとミョウガが大きくなっていました。
フキは、煮物・あえ物・炒め物と、いろいろ調理しても美味しく食べれます。
ミョウガは、薬味に使われる事が多いのですが、
私は、ミョウガを千切りにして　マヨネーズとひしお（地元のおかず味噌です。）とすりゴマとを混ぜたもので和えると、いくらでも食べられます。
子供たちは、癖のある味が嫌いなようです。私も、大人になってから好きになったので、子供たちももう少しすれば、美味しいと思うようになると思います。
私も主人も、収穫して食べるのを楽しみにしています。
たぶん、実母も大好きなので、収穫して一緒に食べようと思っています。

2011/05/25

Ａｔ evening when my husband came back home, he seemed to be very tired.
He said, "I have headache and backache."
I cooked the dunner, and eat it with him.
He could eat all of dinner. I was relieved to see that.
The day I went to English conveｒsation.
I came back home as soon as I finished the lesson.
Because I was worried about him.

After the bath, we tried to ease the stiffness in our neck and shoulders by ourself.
But he couldn't do it by himself. Because his body was stiff.
So I have to massage him. Thank to him, my shoulder ached ^^;

主人が仕事を終えて帰ってくるなり、顔色がおかしくどうしたのか聞いてみると、
頭痛と吐き気がするらしく、応急処置？で、私が主人の背中と肩を叩いてあげました。
その後、夕飯に大好きなカレーをを作ったのですが、全部食べていたので少し安心しました。
その日は、私の英会話の日だったので、行かせてもらったのですが、
終わるとすぐに家に帰りました。主人も大分落ち着いていてホッとしました。

お風呂に入ってから、背中と肩の凝りをほぐすことにしました。
お互い、柔軟体操をしようとしたのですが、主人の体がかたいので一人ではできず
私が、手伝って（ほとんど私の力で）体をほぐしました。
お陰で、私が肩こりになっちゃいました＾＾；

Ｌast Tuesday I couldn't went to yoga class.
Because teacher of yoga wasn't in good health.
Today I did yoga. I felt fine.
After the yoga, when I came back home,
I found a handmade paper bag on the table.
I asked to my husband, "What is this?"
He answered, "The old lady of next-door took them with a circular notice. They are a tissue-box covering and a handmade paper bag. The covering was made by her too."
I said, "What a lovely present ! Let's use at once."
She was more than eighty years old.
I was deeply moved by her present.

先週は、ヨガの先生が、体調を崩されたのでヨガ教室はお休みでした。
今日は、２週間ぶりにヨガをして、とっても爽快でした。
少し、体がかたくて大変でしたが…＾＾；
ヨガを終えて、家に帰ってみると机の上にある紙袋（…それも手作り）が、置いてありました。
主人に尋ねると、隣のおばあちゃんが、回覧版と一緒に持ってきたらしく、
手作りのティッシュカバーと、それを入れてある紙袋も手作りでした。
とても素敵なティッシュカバーで、これを８０歳を超えていらっしゃるおばあちゃんが
作ってくれたかと思うと感謝の気持ちと暖かい気持ちでいっぱいになりました(*^_^*)　
早速、使わせてもらっています。

It was rainy and windy during day.
The rainy season will come Shikoku district soon.
Because there were the mark of umbrella in weekly weather forecast.
Until now I could hear the bird's singing.
In addiction I will hear the flog's singing after this.
My dog was taking a nap with singing.

今日は、雨とひどい風でした。
もうすぐ、梅雨入りでしょうか。
週間天気予報では、傘マークが並んでいました。
鳥の鳴き声も盛んに聞こえますが、
それに加えて、カエルの声も段々と聞こえるようになりそうです。
まるちゃんは、それを聞きながらお昼寝しています(*^_^*)

2011/05/22

Recently I pulled weeds in my garden every Sunday.
The garden was cleaned.
When I looked up my garden, I saw the trees covered with new green leaves.
And I found blossoms of kiwi fruits, persimmons, and yuzu.
There will be a good harvest this year.
We are very happy.

ここ最近の休みの日は、草引きを重点的にしていました。
ずっと地面ばかり見ていましたが、なんとかきれいになったので、庭を見まわして見ると
新芽がたくさん出ていました。
中にキウイと柿と柚子の花が咲いていました。
去年より、たくさん咲いているので、今年はたくさん収穫できる事を楽しみにしています。

My husband took our dog for a walk with me for long time.

Always he or I take her..

When I took her for a walk, I couldn't see around.

But I could take many picture. I was happy.

I was especially happy that I found a few wild ｓｔrawberry.
I ate a few wild strawberry. It was tart and sweet.
When I was child, we took a lot of wild strawberry,
Then my mother made the wild strawberry jam.
I looked back on it with nostalgia.

久しぶりに主人と一緒にまるちゃんの散歩に行きました。
いつもなら、どちらかが行くのですが、
今日は主人が連れていたので私も散歩を楽しめました。
意外と、いろんな花が咲き、実もなっていることに気がつきました。
中でも、野苺はほんの少ししかなっていませんでしたが、
採って食べると酸っぱくて甘い懐かしい味がしました。
私が、幼い頃、実母とみんなで野苺をたくさん採って、
一つずつ割って虫がいないか確かめてから、ジャムを作った事がありました。
とっても、懐かしく思いだされました。

いつもなら、写真を撮ろうとしてもこちらを向かないまるちゃんですが、
後ろから、こっそり撮ろうとすると振り返りました。
何か察したのでしょうか＾＾

2011/05/20

This week, I did English homework.
When I heard the story, I could write, but I could understand it.
Richard said to me, "Don't worry Emi." then he wrote white board

"I hear and I forget.
I see and I remember.[
I do and I understand."

It was Chinese proverb.
It means that "That actions are more important than hearing the words." perhaps.
Then I read again and again, and talked to him until I could know.
At last I could understand.
Thank you for teaching me !

A police man saw a car driving very very slowly,
and decided to stop it.
There were four old ladies inside and the officer set
A police man said,  "i'm sorry madam. Your driving is as dangerous as driving too fast. "
The driver was embarrassed and apologized.
The driver said "I was driving exactly twenty two miles far hour."
"I'm sorry madam. That's the name of route. It's route 24"
The police man looked at the other three old ladies who were very white, very quite, and seemed to be shaking.
He asked "Are your friends OK?"
"Oh every OK soon. We just came from route 196."

"What is that?"　/　あれは、何だろう？

今週も、英会話の宿題をしました。
いつものように、テープを聞いてノートに書いていきました。
でも、文章はかけてひとつひとつの文章の意味もわかるのに全体の意味が分かりませんでした。
リチャードに、その事を言うと、「心配はいらないよ。」といって、

"I hear and I forget.
I see and I remember.[
I do and I understand."

と、ホワイトボードに書いてくれました。
中国のことわざで、たぶん　言葉や話を聞くだけでは右から左で忘れてしまうけど
実際に行動に移せば、理解もでき簡単に忘れることはないという事でしょうか。
私は、自分の書いた英文を何度も読み返し　リチャードに話してみました。
どうしてここでこの文章が来るのかと、何カ所も質問する事で、やっと話の内容が分かりました。
根気よく、聞いて質問に答えてくれたリチャードに感謝・感謝です＾＾v

ちなみに、その文章は、

警官が、とっても遅く走っている車を見つけ、その車を止めました。
車の中には、4人の老婦人が乗っていました。
警官は、運転手に「すみません。あなたのゆっくりとした運転は、スピードを出し過ぎの運転と同じくらい危ないのです。」
運転手は、言いました。
「私は、規則どおり時速24マイルで走っていました。」
警官は、「すみません。２４は、道の名前で、それはルート24です。」と、言いました。
運転手は、恥ずかしいと共に謝りました。
警官は、その他の3人の婦人が顔面蒼白で、物も言わず、震えているように思えました。
警官は、尋ねました。「あの方たちは、あなたのお友達で間違いないですか？」
運転手の婦人は、「そうですよ。直ぐに平静を取り戻します。だって、私たちは、ちょうどルート196を走ってきたところです。」
