今日は、鏡開き。その餅をお汁粉にして食べました。

We did the custom of cutting and eating a large, round rice cake, which had been offered to the Got at New Year’s, on January 11. I cooked sweet adzuki soup with pieces of rice cake.

今年初めての、ヨガのレッスンでした。お正月は食べてばかりいたので、体が硬くて疲れました。でも、最後には、体もほぐれてきて楽になりました。今年も、健康のために頑張ります！

 Today was yoga lesson first time in this year. My body was rigid and I was tired, because I was always eating during the New Year holidays. After the lesson, I could get a supple body and I was good. I will do my best on this year too.

今日は、娘が兵庫へバスで戻りました。娘から、忘れ物をしたとメールを送られてきました。息子同様、荷造りして送りました。二人とも、私に似たのでしょう^^　二人がいなくなると、家の中が本当に寒く感じます。また、春に帰ってくるのを楽しみにしています。

Today, my daughter returned to Hyogo by bus. I got e-mail from her. She said she forgot her things. I packed it and sent as I did to my son. They are careless like me!　If my children don’t stay at my home, I feel that it’s really cold in my house. I am looking forward to seeing them in this spring.

今日は、娘の成人式です。朝６時から、振袖の着付けです。それから、９時からの成人式に出席して、たくさんの友達と話したり写真を撮ったりと楽しんでいました。娘の振袖は、私が二十歳の時に着た振袖です。今時、珍しい色と柄でしたが、娘に似合っていました。私の母と私はとても嬉しく思いました。また、娘がここまで成長した事がとても嬉しかったです。これからも、いろいろあると思いますが、家族で娘の成長を見守っていきたいと思います。

Today was my daughter’s coming-of-age celebration. She was dressed in kimono from 6 a.m. Then she attended a coming-of-age celebration from 9 a.m. After celebration, she told and took a lot of photos. She enjoyed it. She was dressed in my kimono. When I was twenty years old, I was dressed in it. Now, it is rare. But she looked really nice with the kimono. My mother and I were very happy. And I was glad that she grew up to be lady. No matter what happened, my family will keep supporting her.

明日は、娘の成人式です。娘は、明日の朝早くから夜遅くまで予定がいっぱいです。なので、私と娘が成人式の準備をした後、お祝いに家族でお寿司を食べに行きました。明日の娘の振袖姿が楽しみです。

Tomorrow is my daughter’s a coming-of-age celebration. Her schedule is full during the day and the night. After she and I finished preparing for celebration, we went to a sushi shop for her celebration in advance. I am looking forward to watch my daughter who is dressed in kimono.

今年初めての英会話だったのですが、リチャードの都合が悪くお休みとなりました。なので、私もお休みです^^

Today was English conversation lesson first time in this year. But it was canceled, because of Richard’s personal reasons. I took a rest too!

今日、息子がバスで滋賀に戻りました。私は、忘れ物の無いようにと念を押していましたが、やはり忘れ物がありました。それは、就職活動ではく靴でした。早速、荷造りをして息子へ送りました。来年の春までに就職先が見つかるかな～。不安です！

 Today, my son returned to Shiga by bus. I told him again to be sure to take all his things, but he forgot to bring his thing. It was his shoes which he has to wear for job hunting. At once, I packed it and sent it to him. Can he get a job by next spring? I am worried.
